For Full size, Standard or Passenger Vans or Premium car classes, drivers must have been eligible to hold a driving licence for 12 years.

3. Credit Card Information

The main driver must be the holder of a major credit card which they must produce on arrival. In the case of a “Chip and Pin” credit card, the card holder must know their PIN number. A credit card is required for the deductible for 5000 euro and additional charges such as extra drivers, fuel, parking fines etc. CARHIRE accept MasterCard and Visa. Carhire cannot accept debit cards, prepaid cards, electronic cards or cash. The credit card must be in the name of the main driver. At the time of rental there must be sufficient credit on your card to cover all charges including the deductible amount.

Please note: The car hire company cannot hire a rental vehicle to any customer arriving without a credit card in the main drivers name or who does not know the pin to their card or where there are not sufficient funds to cover all costs for the rental.

5. Cross Border

Should you wish to drive in Northern Ireland it is a requirement of rental that they inform the supplier that they wish to do so prior to leaving the rental location. There is a 34.05 Euro fee when taking a car into Northern Ireland.

Cars cannot be taken off the island of Ireland at any stage and must be returned in the Republic. Failure to purchase the required coverage will result in the renter accepting full responsibility for any recovery fees, should the car breakdown.

7. Fuel Policy

Customers will be supplied with a full tank of fuel. In the event, the car is returned less than a full, the customer will be charged a local refuelling fee plus the standard fuel price per litre.

Additional drivers can be added for a daily fee of €9 plus tax. Additional drivers can be added on collection of the vehicle only. Normal age and licence restrictions apply. Please note unauthorised drivers are not covered by us and are prohibited from driving the rental car.
